Vehicle strikes and kills 2-year-old Payson boy in his own driveway

It was a “tragic accident,” according to police.

A 2-year-old Payson boy was killed on Monday when he was hit by a vehicle in his driveway.

Police said a family member was moving a vehicle in the driveway, did not see the child and struck and killed him. “There is no indication that this was anything other than a tragic accident,” according to news release from the Payson Police Department.

A GoFundMe page set up to help the family pay for funeral expenses remembered Levi as “a bright, happy, shy and loving little boy. He loved music, cars, the outdoors and his family. He loved his little brother and was exceedingly close to his mom and dad. Levi will be sorely missed by anyone who ever had a chance to meet him.”

As of Wednesday morning, the page had raised $3,486 of its $5,000 goal.
