Search crews find body of missing Millcreek fisherman

Search and rescue personnel on Saturday found the body of a Millcreek man who was reported missing late Thursday.

The man, Robert “Austin” Harker, had traveled to the Lake Canyon area in Duchesne County to go fly-fishing. Someone reported him missing when he didn’t arrive home as planned.

A crew flying over the area in a helicopter saw his body around 11:15 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release from Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said they found no signs of foul play on Harker’s body. The medical examiner’s office will determine his official cause of death.

“Our condolences go out to the Harker and Cowart families and we appreciate their help and their strength during the search for Austin,” Duchesne County Sheriff Travis Tucker said in the release.
