In conjunction with next year’s public tours of its showcase Salt Lake Temple, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is releasing a new online video series titled “Dedicate,” exploring the historic building’s multiyear renovation.
The series, touted by church President Dallin Oaks as he closed this past weekend’s General Conference, follows seven young adults from Brazil, France, Ghana, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines and the United States as they explore the iconic six-spired temple and meet with church leaders.

The first episode premiered Sunday and already has drawn more than 263,000 views. Subsequent episodes will be released every Sunday through Nov. 1, with the sixth and final show airing in spring 2027, about the time that six months of public tours of the temple will begin.
On Monday, a screening was held for the first episode at the Legacy Theater on downtown Salt Lake City’s Temple Square.
A news release noted church leaders, participants in the docuseries and other audience members were in attendance.
“I’m very pleased that we were a part of this today, but I just want you to see it is part of this greater purpose,” church apostle Dieter Uchtdorf said at the screening. “A year from now, we will dedicate the House of the Lord again, and it will be something which will affect the whole world.”

At the premiere, Sora Murata, a new convert from Japan who is featured in “Dedicate,” called the experience “life-changing.”

“I just want people to feel seen and know that there are people in the world who have similar questions to them,” said Alabama Latter-day Saint Alex Cazier, who also participated in the series. “I learned that each of our stories are so important, and we can help others come unto the Savior through being our authentic selves.”

That authenticity is something that stood out for Tamara W. Runia, first counselor in the Young Women General Presidency.
“It changed me just listening to their testimonies and their questions and their concerns and the way that they felt about the temple experience,” she said. “That honesty, I think, is engaging.”
Next year’s open house for the Salt Lake Temple will stretch from April 5 through Oct. 1. According to the church’s release, the celebration will include “the open house tour, exhibits, performances, films, service opportunities and other experiences centered on the Savior.”
Tour tickets can be reserved at TempleSquare.org or on the Temple Square app.
