Letter: We see why you don’t get it

(Evan Vucci | AP file photo) Former Vice President Joe Biden, left, and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., right, participate in a Democratic presidential primary debate at CNN Studios in Washington, Sunday, March 15, 2020.

In his review of the remaining Democratic candidates for president, David Goddard declares two important facts that sum up the reasons why he had to ask the question.

Those declarations are: 1) He is a Trump supporter and 2) he doesn't get it.

What Goddard does not understand is that anyone who is not in the Trump demographic does get it. Consequently, his question and rather obvious and predictable declarations about himself are not enlightening to thinkers. But we thank him for his declarations just the same.

Support free news for Utah

sltrib.com is now free to access — no subscription required. We made this decision because we believe access to trustworthy, independent news shouldn’t depend on what you can afford — especially as misinformation and AI-generated content continue to rise.

Free to read doesn’t mean free to produce. Our reporters show up every day to ask hard questions and hold powerful institutions to account. That work takes resources. As a nonprofit newsroom, we rely on support from people who believe it matters. Make a donation today to fund local news that serves Utah communities.
