Letter: Trump only needs one letter

(Pablo Martinez Monsivais | AP file photo) President Donald Trump speaks to members of the media on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, Friday, May 24, 2019, before boarding Marine One for a short trip to Andrews Air Force Base, Md., and then on to Tokyo.

The Salt Lake Tribune recently ran two similar letters to the editor.

One letter writer used all 26 letters of the alphabet to list positive things about President Trump. The other letter writer used all 26 letters to list negative things about President Trump.

I’ll use only one letter of the alphabet to list a negative about President Trump, the letter “J,” which stands for joke.

sltrib.com is now free to access — no subscription required. We made this decision because we believe access to trustworthy, independent news shouldn’t depend on what you can afford — especially as misinformation and AI-generated content continue to rise.

Free to read doesn’t mean free to produce. Our reporters show up every day to ask hard questions and hold powerful institutions to account. That work takes resources.
