President marked anniversary of PACT Act in event at VA health center.

As part of President Joe Biden’s three-state Western tour, he stopped at the Salt Lake City Veterans Affairs health center to mark the one-year anniversary of the PACT Act.

Military veterans can file a claim for PACT Act benefits with Veterans Affairs at any time and the VA has extended the window to Aug. 14 for veterans to apply for backdated benefits.

In his only public appearance in the Beehive state, Biden praised the support from all sides of the political aisle that led to the bill’s passage a year ago, saying, “We are the United States of America, there’s nothing, nothing beyond our capacity when we decide to work together to get it done.”
