I-15 to go down to one lane in each direction for months near Tremonton

The Utah Department of Transportation plans to shift traffic and close some lanes on Interstate 15 near Tremonton beginning next week — reducing traffic to one lane in each direction there for months.

Beginning Monday, all traffic will be shifted to the southbound side of the freeway until June. Then traffic will shift to northbound lanes until October.

The shift will occur from the Bear River bridge at milepost 375 to the junction of I-15 and Interstate 84 at milepost 379. It will allow work on a bridge maintenance project.

Lane restrictions will remain in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week to allow crews room to safely remove and replace pavement on nine bridges.

Construction schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change. Updated information is available online at udottraffic.utah.gov on the UDOT traffic app for smartphones.
