Sandy Crown Burger location to be closed for several weeks following fire

No one was injured during the fire, and the cause remains under investigation.

A Sandy Crown Burger location will be closed for several weeks following an early morning fire that started in the restaurant’s ceiling.

The fire at the restaurant near 9600 South State Street was first reported at around 5:40 a.m. when witnesses said they saw smoke coming out of the building.

When crews arrived, they found the fire between the kitchen and dining areas, which they believed was sparked in the ceiling.
