Girl, 9, injured in West Valley City drive-by shooting

Police have not yet identified any suspects from the Saturday night shooting

A 9-year-old girl is in the hospital after being shot during a drive-by shooting Saturday night in West Valley City.

The girl was inside a home on the 1500 Block of Calvo Drive when the shooting happened just before 9 p.m., FOX 13 reports. Police said a bullet pierced the wall of the room and struck the girl.

The girl was flown by helicopter to a hospital where she was said to be in stable condition.

No suspects have been identified. In a security video obtained by FOX 13, a pickup truck is seen driving away from the area after several shots were fired.
