With wildfires breaking out all around Utah, many cities and towns have followed Gov. Spencer Cox’s call to ban personal fireworks on this Fourth of July weekend.

Three Utah communities went even further. In Dutch John in Daggett County, Heber City in Wasatch County, and Brian Head in Iron County, they canceled their planned professional fireworks displays because of fire risks.

For people looking to see professional pyrotechnics, though, there are plenty of options. Here are more than two dozen Utah communities that are planning big fireworks displays — as well as events in Salt Lake and Summit counties that are planning drone shows, providing high-tech light displays without the combustion.

Most of these events are free to attend. For the events that require paid tickets, standing outside the stadium doesn’t cost a thing.

Drone shows

Thursday, Friday, Saturday • Forum Fest (Park City) • Three days of concerts and family activities, including nightly drone shows at 10:15 p.m. each night, at Canyons Village at Park City Mountain Resort, 4000 Canyons Resort Road, Park City. Free to attend.

Friday • Independence Eve: Big Air Show (Millcreek) • A drone show concludes a night of live performances and food, 6-10 p.m. at Millcreek Common 1354 E. Chambers Ave., Millcreek. Tickets are $5, available online through millcreekcommon.org.

Friday • Salt Lake City Drone Show • A no-fireworks light show, preceded by food trucks and live music. Events start at 8 p.m., drone show starts at 10 p.m., at Jordan Park, 1060 S. 900 West, Salt Lake City. Free to attend.

Friday • West Jordan Western Stampede • The second day of the annual three-day rodeo will end with a drone show starting at 10 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, 8035 S. 2200 West, West Jordan. Ticket required to enter the arena.

Saturday • 4th of July Celebration (Holladay) • A drone show, following a concert by the country duo Wildwood, starting at 8 p.m. at City Park, 4580 S. 2300 East, Holladay. Free to attend.

Saturday • Fourth of July Celebration (Park City) • A day of events (the parade starts at 11 a.m. with events at City Park) will conclude with a drone show at 10 p.m. over Park City Mountain Resort.

Fireworks shows

Cache County

Friday • America250 Celebration (Logan) • Fireworks, starting at 10 p.m., at Willow Park, 450 W. 700 South; concerts start at 6:30 p.m. at Willow Park and Laub Plaza, 55 N. Main St., Logan.

Saturday • Star Spangled Celebration (Hyrum) • After a day of events, fireworks will go off from Mountain Crest High School, 255 S. 800 East, Hyrum; people often gather at the city’s soccer fields or East Park, though they’re visible from practically anywhere in town.

Carbon County

Friday • Scofield Pleasant Valley Days • The event runs Friday and Saturday, but the fireworks cap the events on Friday, after the Little Miss PVD Pageant, concerts by The Livid Dead (Southern rock) and Kurtis Neider (singer/songwriter). The fireworks are set to go off at 10 p.m. over Scofield Reservoir.

Davis County

Friday • Fireworks at Eaglewood (North Salt Lake) • Fireworks complete the events for Liberty Fest, at 10 p.m., Eaglewood Golf Course, 1110 Eaglewood Dr., North Salt Lake. Events (including live entertainment and food trucks) start at 5 p.m. Free to attend.

Friday • Independence Day Celebration (West Bountiful) • The fireworks are at 10 p.m. — after a carnival (starting at 5 p.m.), food trucks and a concert at 8 p.m. — at City Park, 550 W. 1600 North, West Bountiful. Free to attend.

Saturday • Centerville Freedom Festival • Fireworks follow a day of events (a parade at 9 a.m., park entertainment all day and a concert by Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band) at 10 p.m. Centerville Community Park, 1350 N. 400 West, Centerville.

Saturday • Liberty Days (Layton) • July 4 • Fireworks culminate a day of events (a fun run, a breakfast, a parade, a children’s bike parade, activities in the park, and a 7:30 p.m. concert), at 10 p.m. at Layton Commons Park, 437 N. Wasatch Drive, Layton. All events are free.

Saturday • Hometown Parade and Freedom Festival (Clearfield) • July 4 • After a day that starts with a parade and includes events in the park, the fireworks begin at 10 p.m. at Fisher Park, 934 S. 1000 East, Clearfield. Free to attend.

Saturday • July 4 Celebration (Kaysville) • Fireworks conclude a day of events (including an evening concert); fireworks start at 10 p.m. at Barnes Park, 950 W. 200 North, Kaysville.

Grand County

Saturday • Grand County Fair (Moab) • Three days of events, Thursday through Saturday, will culminate with fireworks, Saturday at dusk (around 9 p.m.), at Spanish Trail Arena, 3641 S. Highway 191, Moab.

Kane County

Saturday • Independence Day Celebration (Kanab) • July 4 • A day of events with the theme “Our American History,” concludes with an 8:30 p.m. concert by The Sand River Band, followed by fireworks, at Jacob Hamblin Park, 566 N. 100 East, Kanab.

Rich County

Saturday • Garden City July 4th • Fireworks follow a concert, starting at 7 p.m., headlined by Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, at Heritage Park, 579 Buttercup Blvd., Garden City. Free to attend.

Salt Lake County

Friday and Saturday • Salt Lake Bees (South Jordan) • Fireworks will follow The Bees’ games against the Las Vegas Aviators (first pitch is 6:35 p.m. each night), at The Ballpark at America First Square, 11111 Ballpark Drive., South Jordan. Tickets available at mlb.com/milb/salt-lake.

Saturday • Riverton Town Days • The conclusion of Riverton’s Fourth of July celebration — with a carnival, evening concerts and more — will be fireworks July 4 at 10 p.m., at Riverton City Park, 1452 W. 12600 South, Riverton.

Saturday • 4th of July Celebration (Sandy) • Fireworks conclude a day full of events, at 10 p.m. Sandy Promenade, 10000 S. 172 West, Sandy. Free to attend.

Saturday • 4th of July Celebration (Manti) • Fireworks conclude a full day of events at City Park, at 10 p.m. at the Manti City Sports Complex, 998 N. 100 West, Manti.

Saturday • Independence Day Celebration (Richfield) • A day of events around the theme “Party Like It’s 1776” will conclude with fireworks at 9:30 p.m., from Richfield’s west hills.

Tooele County

Saturday • 4th of July Celebration • Fireworks will close out a concert by Bohemian Queen (a Queen tribute act), which starts at 8 p.m. at Tooele High School football stadium, 301 W. Vine, Tooele. Tickets for the concert are $5, at Tooele City Hall or the Tooele Macey’s store.

Uintah County

Saturday • Dinosaurland Freedom Fest • Fireworks will close out a day of events, at 10 p.m. Ashley Valley Community Park, 900 W. 500 South, Vernal. Free to attend.

Utah County

Saturday • Stadium of Fire • Billed as the nation’s largest stadium fireworks display, the annual concert is headlined this year by country superstar Brad Paisley, and features stunts by Nitro Circus. The show starts at 8 p.m. LaVell Edwards Stadium, Brigham Young University Campus, Provo. Tickets, from $55 and up, at tickets.byu.edu.

Washington County

Saturday • 4th of July Celebration (St. George) • Fireworks go off after a concert by country singer Russell Dickerson, presented by 99.9 KONY Country. The show starts at 8 p.m., pre-show starts at 7 p.m. Greater Zion Stadium, 501 S. 700 East, St. George. Tickets at UtahTech.evenue.net.

Weber County
