Doorbell camera catches Utah football fans fawning over Kyle Whittingman

The moment happened after the Utes won the Pac-12 Championship game.

(Andy Nelson | AP) Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham looks at the scoreboard after taking a timeout against Oregon during the second half of an NCAA college football game Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, in Eugene, Ore.

While the University of Utah football team was busy beating USC behind some second-half defensive flare and celebrating its second consecutive trip to the Rose Bowl, some Utes fans made a house call in the wee hours of the night.

A Ring doorbell camera caught a group of four fans running to the front door of coach Kyle Whittingham’s home and fawning over him. Two of them got on their knees and bowed like the “Wayne’s World” duo telling Alice Cooper, “We’re not worthy.”

Then each of them took turns giving a message to Whittingham.

“Kyle, I love you,” one fan proclaimed.

“Kyle, I love you, great game,” another exclaimed.

“I smell roses,” one fan said twice.

“Winning the Rose Bowl,” one of them enticed.

The moment was shared on Twitter by Melissa Whittingham Kent, one of the coach’s four daughters.
