The University of Utah women’s basketball team remained unbeaten with a 78-45 victory over Cincinnati on Friday night at the Huntsman Center.

Kennady McQueen scored 15 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead the Utes (4-0), who opened the game on a 13-0 run and never looked back.

Dasia Young had a season-best 12 rebounds for Utah, which dominated on the glass, pulling down a season-high 59 rebounds compared to 33 for the Bearcats (2-2), who were held to 29% shooting for the game.

“Every day we’ve emphasized rebounding,” Utah coach Lynne Roberts said. “I don’t care who we play, and it’s something we want to do well in. I start every practice with a rebounding drill. I think our girls have done an amazing job at buying in and emphasizing how critical rebounding is. We’re going to emphasize rebounding.”

The Utes return to action on Friday, when they take on Gonzaga in the opening round of the Rainbow Wahine Showdown in Honolulu.
