Rollie Worster’s near triple-double helps Utah State beat UNLV, halt losing skid

Queta, Bean and Miller add 13 points apiece

Las Vegas • Rollie Worster had 19 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and three steals to lead all five Utah State starters scoring in double figures and the Aggies beat UNLV 83-74 on Wednesday night.

Neemias Queta, Justin Bean and Brock Miller added 13 points apiece and Marco Anthony scored 12 for Utah State (13-5, 10-2 Mountain West). Bean had nine rebounds and two steals and Queta grabbed eight rebounds and blocked two shots.

After struggling to connect from the floor in the first game against the Runnin’ Rebels on Monday night, Utah State’s offense clicked on Wednesday as the Aggies shot 50.0% (31-of-62) from the floor, a season-high-tying 52.6% (10-of-19) from behind the arc and 64.7% (11-of-17) at the free throw line. Utah State (13-5, 10-2 MW) remained dominant on the glass, outrebounding UNLV 41-29 and outscoring the Runnin’ Rebels 32-20 in the paint.

David Jenkins Jr. led UNLV (6-7, 3-3) with 29 points and Moses Wood scored 11.

UNLV beat the Aggies 59-56 on Monday.

Utah State now has almost a week off before continuing Mountain West play at Fresno State on Thursday, Feb. 4, and Saturday, Feb. 6.
