Weber State’s Dillon Jones continues to impress the scouts.

After being one of 44 players invited to participate in the NBA G League Elite Camp last weekend, Jones did enough there to be one of eight players to get an invite to the NBA Draft Combine this week.

Jones, the 6-foot-6 forward, stood out as a rising wing player who could potentially sneak into the NBA Draft discussion next month. On the second day of the G League Camp, Jones had 15 points, four steals, seven rebounds and two assists. He shot over 50% from the field.

Jones got the call up to the combine along with the likes of Texas’ Jabari Rice, Clemson’s PJ Hall and Memphis’ Kendric Davis.

Jones, a sophomore, is currently going through the NBA draft process while maintaining his college eligibility. He has played three seasons in Ogden, having his best season last year. He led the team in nearly every statical category while having one of the highest usage rates in the country. He oscillated from playing point guard all the way down to power forward.

For his career, Jones Is the first player in program history with 1,000 points, 800 rebounds, 250 assists, and 100 steals.

Jones is the first Weber State player invited to the draft combine since 2016. That season, Joel Bolomboy was taken by the Utah Jazz in the second round. Damian Lillard went to the combine in 2012 and was a lottery pick by the Portland Trailblazers.

The NBA Draft Combine runs through May 21.
