Southern Utah offensive lineman Braxton Jones was selected by the Chicago Bears in the fifth round of the NFL draft on Saturday.

Jones, a Murray High School graduate and three-year starter for the Thunderbirds, was a two-time All-Big Sky first-team selection and earned Associated Press FCS All-America honors last season.

Listed on the SUU roster at 6-foot-7 and 310 pounds, Jones was selected with the 168th overall pick. He became the fourth Southern Utah player drafted into the NFL, joining Miles Killebrew (2016), Leshaun Sims (2016), and Brad Sorensen (2013).
