Utah’s “constitutional scholar” is at it again.

Mike Lee has long been one of the biggest enablers and co-conspirators of the corrupt and criminal Trump presidency. He is now outraged that a fellow senator stated she would like to lawfully hold people responsible for unlawful acts committed within the current administration.

The same administration that has Lee’s undying support as it manufactures false “reasons” to persecute people who oppose it. Lee is also not happy with our lieutenant governor because she refuses to go along with Trump’s scheme aimed at voter suppression in the upcoming midterm elections.

This is the same guy who pledged to “work 14 hours a day” to overturn the 2020 presidential election that Trump lost. Lee and Deidre Henderson are both Republicans but the similarity ends there. One has integrity; the other continues to be an embarrassing and self serving lapdog.

sltrib.com is now free to access — no subscription required. We made this decision because we believe access to trustworthy, independent news shouldn’t depend on what you can afford — especially as misinformation and AI-generated content continue to rise.

Free to read doesn’t mean free to produce. Our reporters show up every day to ask hard questions and hold powerful institutions to account. That work takes resources.
