(Rick Egan | The Salt Lake Tribune) Thor Dorosh speaks to protesters before a Box Elder County Commission meeting in Tremonton on Tuesday, May 4, 2026.

According to a Tribune report on May 6, “Kevin O’Leary says data center campus protesters were ‘bused in’ from out of state.”

With no evidence provided, O’Leary made this claim. He sounds just like Trump, Musk or any billionaire who feels like the tides have turned against them.

How much are Box Elder County officials making on this deal? This data center is expected to use the total amount of energy currently used in the entire state of Utah. Not to mention the watershed usage, which is claimed to be cleaned and returned to the GSL.

Just like Trump’s ballroom that was going to be built using private donations and was not going to cost taxpayers any money. According to the latest proposal, it would cost taxpayers $1 billion.

How stupid do they think we are? Too bad I don’t have a vote in Box Elder County. I would make sure these commissioners never get my vote again.

Kudos to all who turned out to protest this massive damage to Utah’s environment.
