The incumbent Utah state auditor, John Dougall, has chosen to style himself “Frugal” on the ballot. This same moniker is used by Dougall as a campaign tool.
The lieutenant governor has discretion as to how names appear on the ballot. He should exercise his judgment and ban such politically charged “nicknames.”
