Letter: The Utah Legislature does not speak for me
(Patrick Semansky | AP file photo) President Donald Trump speaks during a campaign rally in Las Vegas on Feb. 21, 2020.
The Utah Legislature does not speak for me in its boot-licking “Official Citation Honoring President Donald J. Trump.”
The citation is an explicit endorsement of Trump’s values: daily lies, mocking disabled people, calling other countries sh--holes, paying hush money to mistresses, separating children from their parents at the southern border, stealing from his own charity, not to mention all of those around Trump that are now doing jail time.
Where was their citation for President Obama when his administration pulled us out of the great recession?
