Letter: Generations of damage

(Manuel Balce Ceneta | AP) President Donald Trump waves during an event at the he Eisenhower Executive Office Building on the White House complex in Washington, Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019, in Washington.

There is no place for facism in a constitutional republic. We learned that lesson from Europe in the 1930s and 1940s.

We must rid ourselves of Donald Trump and his sycophants as soon as possible, or we will be living with his damage for generations.

Support free news for Utah

sltrib.com is now free to access — no subscription required. We made this decision because we believe access to trustworthy, independent news shouldn’t depend on what you can afford — especially as misinformation and AI-generated content continue to rise.

Free to read doesn’t mean free to produce. Our reporters show up every day to ask hard questions and hold powerful institutions to account. That work takes resources.
