Letter: Put religion on the religion page
(Francisco Kjolseth | Tribune file photo) The sun rises on the temple of the LDS Church in Salt Lake City on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019.
May I add to Susan Rounds’ letter, “Tribune Wish List”?
After a week filled with national and international news — the impeachment inquiry, Hong Kong, Russia, Ukraine, the Navy Seal case, and, of course, the latest Trump tweets — the lead article in Sunday’s Tribune, taking up more than half the front page, was the “Eternal Dilemma: Who will be married to whom in heaven?” by Peggy Fletcher Stack.
Ms. Rounds wishes that Robert Gehrke — a fine journalist who, yes, includes his opinions, but at least they’re relevant to a significant portion of Tribune’s readers — be moved to the Opinion Page.
I wish (oh, how I wish!) that Peggy Fletcher Stack would be moved off the front page and to the religion page, or at least the Utah section. Or, more appropriately, to the Deseret News.
