Letter: A narrow escape for UTA board members
(Rick Egan | Tribune file photo) Carlton Christensen, chairman of the Utah Transit Authority Board, makes a few comments at the celebration of the new double-track rail line for the S-Line Sugar House Streetcar on Friday, April 5, 2019.
At first I was in shock. UTA Board Chairman Carlton Christensen was living on only $129,000 per year after giving up a previous job paying more. He was having trouble making ends meet and it was tugging at my heartstrings.
Then there was hope. After his whining and complaining of his struggles, they raised his pay to $140,000. Wow, that was close. Hated to see him struggling on just over $10,000 a month. I feel better now.
I just hope they were able to include a block of cheese to go with his whine.
