Letter: Won’t any Republican challenge the president?
(Chris Pizzello | Invision | AP) Donald Trump, host of the television series "The Celebrity Apprentice," mugs for photographers at the NBC 2015 Winter TCA Press Tour at The Langham Huntington Hotel on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, in Pasadena, Calif.
Perhaps even more disturbing than the president’s carryover “Celebrity Apprentice” authoritarian dictator mentality, leading to obstructing “executive privilege” testimony refusals and latest willingness to accept foreign adversarial campaign opponent “dirt,” is the continuing support of his underbelly base and impotent Republican legislators.
To regain the prominence of the Republican Party, can any candidate with the courage, integrity, intelligence and vision reassert ideological principles to run against Trump and be their 2020 nominee?
Wouldn’t that send a message?!
