Letter: Romney’s less-than-adequate retort
(Rick Bowmer | Associated Press file photo) Utah Sen. Mitt Romney, left, speaks with reporters after visiting with local officials to discuss how the four-week partial government shutdown is impacting an area with several major federal employers, including the Internal Revenue Service in Ogden, Friday, Jan. 18, 2019.
As a constituent of Sen. Mitt Romney, I am “sickened” by his pathetic response to the Mueller report: “The business of government can move on.”
Romney’s less-than adequate retort implies that it is OK for the president of the United States to undermine the investigation, conduct a deceitful campaign with officials in the Russian government and put his fight for self-preservation above upholding the Constitution.
Leadership in both the presidency and the GOP have fallen short of honesty and integrity. My fear continues to be the notion of what President Trump has done that we don’t know or what he would do.
Mr. Romney, you should be ashamed. Actions speak louder than words!
