In a recent article, EnergySolutions employee Mark Warner said that EnergySolutions donates “to those who request donations” and expects nothing in return.
So, on behalf of all Title 1 schools in the Salt Lake District, I’d like to know if Mark Walker is willing to honor the request in the amount of our current cuts to the federal Title 1 program, a program ensuring equal access to education for students below the poverty line.
For all 18 Title 1 schools in Salt Lake District, this total equals about $1.7 million, the total in cuts EnergySolutions will be receiving from the Utah Legislature this session. To do so, he needs only to donate on the Salt Lake Education Foundation page, listing in the memo that the $1.7 million should be split equally among all Title 1 schools in the district.
