Police search for suspect after stabbing at funeral

Salt Lake City police are looking for a suspect who allegedly stabbed a person in the back at a funeral.

The suspect and victim were reconciling after an argument, according to FOX 13.

The suspect and the victim were attending a funeral and began to argue, according to a Saturday watch command log from the police department.

Other people attending the funeral broke up the altercation and encouraged reconciliation, according to police.

As the two people were about to hug, one of the individuals produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the back, according to the log.

The suspect fled the scene.

Police said the stabbing victim was treated at the scene. The suspect has been identified but not apprehended.
