St. George man charged with killing man who was in relationship with him, his wife

The suspect’s bail has been set at $1 million.

A St. George man who was in a “mutually intimate relationship” with a woman and her husband was fatally shot over the weekend, and the husband is in jail, charged with the killing.

KC Steven Comer, 30, has been charged in 5th District court with domestic violence murder, a first-degree felony; possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to assault, a class A misdemeanor; and discharge of a firearm in city limits, a class B misdemeanor.

According to a probable cause statement, Comer called police just before 7:30 a.m. on Saturday and said that he had shot someone. When officers arrived at his home, near 800 South and Dixie Drive, they found Ryan Allen, 37, dead inside.

According to police, the victim’s body was in the main bathroom, and he had suffered “several traumatic injuries.” Several bullet casings were found in or near the bathroom, according to police.

When questioned by police, Comer said he heard his wife and Allen arguing in the bathroom, and that he “believed Ryan to be suicidal and armed with a gun.”

Comer told police he got his own gun from a bedroom closet, made sure it was loaded, and walked through the bedroom into the bathroom where his wife and the victim were arguing. He said he had “determined that he was going to kill Ryan.”

According to police, Comer said he was unsure how many shots he fired, but that he “continued to fire until Ryan stopped moving.”

Comer told police that he, his wife and the victim had been living together since November.

He was booked into the Washington County. His bail was set at $1 million.
