Man, woman found dead in Bluffdale home

An investigation is underway, police said.

Police are investigating after a man and a woman were found dead Thursday inside a house in Bluffdale, according to Saratoga Springs Police Chief Andrew Burton.

Earlier on Thursday, a relative of the two people had asked police to perform a welfare check at the home. Officers went to the house and knocked on the door, but no one answered, said Bluffdale Police Sgt. Zach Beglarian. Police didn’t have probable cause to force open the door, Beglarian said, and neighbors hadn’t heard anything suspicious, so the officers left.

Later in the afternoon, however, a family member went to the house and found the two people dead.

Burton and Beglarian didn’t provide any other details as to the identities of the man and woman, how they died or what their relationship is, if any.

More information was not immediately available. A police investigation is currently underway.
