1 dead, another wounded after shooting in Ogden

A suspect was arrested, police said.

Ogden police are investigating after a shooting left one man dead and another wounded on Tuesday night. A suspect has been taken into custody.

At about 10 p.m. Tuesday, police received a report of shots fired at a home on Patterson Street near Wall Avenue. When officers arrived at the home, they found two men with gunshot wounds lying in the front yard.

One of the men was dead, and the other was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released, police said.

A third man was arrested without incident, police said. Neither his name nor the names of the men who were shot were released. Ogden police are investigating what led up to the shooting and had not released any further information as of Wednesday afternoon.
