Police work to ID hit-and-run driver who struck 64-year-old in Millcreek

The woman is hospitalized in critical condition, police said.

Unified police are asking the public to help identify a hit-and-run driver who struck a 64-year-old woman in Millcreek early Friday before leaving the scene.

The woman was using a crosswalk at the intersection of Highland Drive and Luck Lane (3440 South) when she was struck by the vehicle around 7 a.m., according to a news release. The woman was hospitalized in critical condition, police said.

The identity of the driver was unknown as of Friday afternoon. Police did not release a vehicle description. Authorities continue to investigate.

Police said two vehicles traveled through the intersection seconds after the woman was hit. The department is asking those drivers to come forward with any details they may have witnessed.
