Man shot to death in Salt Lake City

Police are investigating after a man was shot to death in Salt Lake City early Monday morning.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was living in a tent in a homeless encampment along 900 South near 500 West. According to police, a man drove up shortly before 5 a.m., shot the victim, and then drove away in a dark-colored sedan.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later.
