Murray police identify two people found dead in their home

One died by suicide; no word on the other person’s cause of death.

One of the two people who were found dead at a Murray home died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police, who did not say how the second person died.

Police found the bodies of Carol Kay Durkes, 55, and Dallas Evans, 50, in their home at 6122 S. Eagle Nest Drive on Monday after relatives said they hadn’t heard from them for several days. Evans apparently shot himself to death, according to police, who have not released any information about how Durkes died.

The investigation is continuing.
