Woman killed when struck by two vehicles in hit-and-run

Salt Lake City police are searching for the drivers.

Police are searching for the drivers of two vehicles that struck and killed a woman in Salt Lake City on Monday night.

According to police, the 60-year-old woman was in a crosswalk on Main Street at East Coatsville Ave (1785 South) just before 8:30 p.m. when she was struck — first by a black GMC vehicle and then by a black pickup truck. Neither driver stopped, police said.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was taken to a hospital, where she later died.

Police are asking anyone who saw what happened or has surveillance video to call them at 801-799-3000.
