Body found in American Fork Canyon confirmed to be missing hiker

A body found in American Fork Canyon on Tuesday morning was confirmed Wednesday to be that of a hiker who had been missing since Sunday.

According to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, the body was found in a rugged area where authorities had been searching for Robert “Bobby” Healey, 28, of Saratoga Springs. His cellphone signal had pinged in that area.

A spokesman for the UCSO said the victim is believed to have fallen, and that his death appears accidental.
