South Salt Lake Police have arrested a man they say shot 26-year-old Mostafa Hosseini to death early Saturday morning.
According to a probable cause statement, Hosseini and the alleged gunman went to a club with a group of people on Friday night. Members of the group said they drove around and drank beer after leaving the club, and then drove the suspect home. That man allegedly shot Hosseini in the car before exiting it and running to his residence.
One of the witnesses told police that the two men had been arguing over a watch earlier in the evening. Another said they got into a “heated” fight about cigarettes shortly before the shooting.
Police said they found a handgun in the suspect’s home.
