Officials identify man killed in South Salt Lake shooting

One man was killed in a shooting early Saturday in South Salt Lake.

The man was identified Sunday as 26-year-old Mostafa Hosseini. The South Salt Lake Police Department said in a Facebook post that the cause of death was “multiple gunshot wounds.”

The shooting occurred about 1:45 a.m. near 2250 S. 500 East on Saturday. As of Sunday, no arrests had been made, according to the post. The shooter or shooters are still at large, and the homicide investigation is ongoing.
