Alex Mendoza, 19, of South Jordan has been charged with murder after the fatal shooting of a man in Salt Lake City.
Police officers were called to 1100 W. California Avenue in Glendale around 2 a.m. on Jan. 9 after neighbors reported hearing gunshots. They found Emilio Salazar, 28, lying in a driveway with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital but died.
A witness told police that Mendoza shot Salazar after the two had an argument, according to charging documents.
Mendoza was arrested on Jan. 10. He is being held without bail in Salt Lake County jail.
