‘Utah Booze News’ podcast: How churches get their sacramental wine in Utah

In the state of Utah, churches that serve sacramental wine as part of their communion are required by law to have a license to do so. In order to obtain that license, the church must fill out a 17-page form with the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and the pastor must complete a criminal background check.

On the latest episode of the “Utah Booze News: An Alcohol Policy Podcast” produced by FOX 13 and The Salt Lake Tribune, hosts Kathy Stephenson and Ben Winslow talk to Rev. Tyler Peil of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Taylorsville and Barb Munoz, a member of his church, who have both been helping other Lutheran churches in Utah obtain their sacramental wine license.
