Wildfire in Sanpete County caused Utahns to temporarily evacuate homes

A wildfire in Sanpete County temporarily caused residents to evacuate their homes Saturday in Indianola.

The fire was estimated to be about 10 acres, according to a tweet from the Sanpete County Sheriff’s Office. The Indian Ridge subdivision was evacuated, while the Elk Ridge subdivision was under pre-evacuation. Both were lifted as of 8:25 p.m.

Part of Indian Ridge road remained closed throughout the night, according to the sheriff’s office.
