Utah police are searching for a man who confronted people delivering newspapers and fired gunshots

Ogden, Utah • Utah authorities are trying to identify a gunman who fired several gunshots after confronting two people delivering newspapers in the Ogden area.

The Standard-Examiner reports that neither delivery person was were wounded by gunfire in the incident early Wednesday but that one had scratches likely resulting from gunshot damage to a side mirror of their car.

According to one of the delivery people, Tyson Halverson, the man fired several shots after asking what Halverson and his companion were doing and being told they were delivering newspapers.

Weber County sheriff’s Lt. Cortney Ryan said the gunman was described as a white man in a dark four-door sedan and that no arrest was made.
