A Weber County Sheriff’s deputy working in the county jail has been accused of having sex with two female prisoners.

Cpl. Jeremy Miller is under investigation for 11 counts of custodial sexual relations, third-degree felonies. He was arrested Thursday, about two months after the sheriff’s department opened an internal investigation into his conduct, the department announced Thursday.

According to a probable cause statement, two female inmates told investigators they had sexual intercourse with Miller while they were in jail. One woman said she’d had sex with Miller more than 10 times; the other said it happened once. “Both claim the sexual conduct was consensual,” according to the statement.

Miller was placed on paid administrative leave Dec. 10. Weber County investigators haven’t finished the department’s internal investigation, and the Weber County Attorney’s Office is leading the criminal investigation.

Miller will be held in the Box Elder County jail because of a conflict of interest in holding him at the Weber County jail, where he is employed, according to the Weber County Sheriff’s Department.
