A jogger found the body of a fisherman in the Weber River while on a Riverdale trail on Tuesday morning.
The body, that of an elderly man, was found about 6:45 a.m., according to Riverdale police Lt. Casey Warren.
Police don’t suspect foul play and believe the man had been in the river since last night.
The body was found about a quarter-mile away from the Riverdale Weber River Parkway trailhead, at about 3600 South.
The trail was closed while police retrieved the body, but has been reopened, Warren said.
