Red Butte Garden has secured a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, musician and composer to round out their annual 30 shows for the Outdoor Concert Series.
Jon Batiste will perform at the outdoor venue on Sept. 8 as part of his “Big Money” Tour. He’ll play more than 30 shows across the U.S. during his second tour as a headliner.
(Jon Batiste) Seven-time Grammy award winner Jon Batiste will come to Utah on his "Big Money" Tour on Sept. 8, 2025.
The tour will “unfold like a multi-act musical journey connecting audiences to Batiste’s roots, evolution and the movement he’s building through music,” according to a news release.
“At the heart of what I’m about is representing the cultural music I come from and taking responsibility to push it forward,” Batiste said in a statement. “That’s jazz. That’s blues. That’s soul. That’s country and gospel music—forms born from people coming together, improvising in real time, and expressing something deeper.”
Batiste is known for music that spans across genres, from jazz to R&B. He led the band on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” for seven years and co-composed the soundtrack for Disney/Pixar’s 2020 animated film “Soul.” He’s won seven Grammys throughout his career.
Tickets for Batiste’s show will cost $94 and go on sale May 16 at 10 a.m for Red Butte Garden members, and May 20 at 10 a.m. for the general public.
Batiste joins more than 50 other artists/bands who will be taking to the Red Butte Garden stage this summer.
