A new Trader Joe’s will welcome Salt Lake County shoppers this week

The store will be the company’s 10th in Utah.

Exactly five months after confirming the location for a new Trader Joe’s in West Jordan, a company spokesperson has announced when the store will open.

Located at 5561 W. 7800 South, the new Trader Joe’s will open Friday at 9 a.m., according to a news release.

The grand opening celebration will include music and samples. The company said that the West Jordan location will be the second on Salt Lake County’s west side, and the 10th Trader Joe’s store in Utah.

Ten days ago, Trader Joe’s opened a store in Herriman at 4918 W. 13400 South, at The Commons at Herriman Towne Center.

Trader Joe’s has locations in Riverdale, Holladay, Cottonwood Heights, Draper, and Orem, plus two in Salt Lake City — one on 400 South near 600 East, the other in Sugar House. The company has also said it plans to open a location in South Jordan.
