Here’s where in Utah to get Thanksgiving dinner made for you — to dine in or take out

Some restaurants will serve you a holiday dinner, while others will box one up for you to take home.

Preparing a Thanksgiving dinner takes some foresight — knowing how many people will be sitting at the table, how big a turkey to buy and how early to get it into the oven, and so on.

The same holds true for those who let someone else do the cooking. There are dozens of Utah restaurants and food vendors with special deals for Thanksgiving — both serving food at their location or selling takeout kits that diners can take home and reheat — and the one thing they have in common is that the customer has to plan ahead.

Some restaurants are taking reservations, and those that aren’t filled already will be filled soon. And anyone planning to buy takeout should get their orders in as soon as possible.

The Salt Lake Tribune — with some help from the folks at the food website Gastronomic SLC (with whom The Tribune has a content-sharing agreement) — has compiled this list of restaurants and foodmakers with deals for Thanksgiving feasts, both takeout and dine-in.
