Utah cook to compete on ‘Bakeaway Camp with Martha Stewart’

Bryan Clark is a triplet and comes by his competitive spirit naturally.

“Growing up in a house with nine children, it was inevitable,” said Clark, who runs a home-based bakery called Sweet Bites by Bryan from his South Jordan home.

Those skills should prove useful when Clark battles five other contestants on “Bakeaway Camp with Martha Stewart.”

The new culinary competition premieres Monday, May 11, on the Food Network and gives amateur bakers a chance to learn from America’s domestic doyenne and compete for a $25,000 grand prize.

Before Clark can get the cash — and appliances for an entire kitchen — he must test his outdoor culinary skills in a series of camp-inspired challenges and games, while also surviving bees, rain and scorching heat.

The most impressive baker in the first round of each episode gets a one-on-one mentoring session with Martha Stewart in her home kitchen. The baker who displays the least amount of progress at the end of each show heads home.
