Imagine a night out at the club: dancing to hits from Madonna, Janet Jackson, Robyn, Britney Spears, Kesha, Sia and Florence + The Machine.
And then imagine still getting to bed on time.
This is the concept of Earlybirds Club — a traveling club experience with a 10 p.m. last call — founded by Chicago-based friends Laura Baginski and Susie Lee.
“It allows you to have your full eight hours of sleep, hopefully do your face routine, but still have a great time dancing to throwbacks,” Baginski said. “Music that brings you back to the person you were before life started life-ing.”
The club is coming to Salt Lake City on June 27 at The Commonwealth Room.
But the party started back in 2024. Baginski said the idea for the club came from her love of seeing live music.
“I love that communal feeling of everyone singing along, dancing, just so present and in the moment,” she said.
But she found herself feeling exhausted the next day because concerts started late and ran long.

Realizing that she couldn’t change the music industry, Baginski brainstormed the idea of her early-evening club and brought it to Lee, who she had been friends with since high school.
Lee got a DJ connection and a friend who owned a dive bar in Chicago involved and two months later they hosted the first party.
At that time, Lee had been diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She died last August.
“I continue to carry forth her legacy in the form of this dance party, because it was everything that she embodied: joy, love for her female friends, not giving a s--t about what other people think and living in the moment,” Baginski said.
Her late friend had a hat that said “Be Here Now” that she wore all the time. That sentiment is what Baginski said Earlybirds cultivates.
“Our hope is that you can just let everything go that you’re dealing with, and just have an absolute blast, so you have the strength to do whatever you need to do the next day, whether it’s going to chemo, like her, or taking your kids to soccer practice,” Baginski said.

Earlybirds Club has visited over 47 cities in the United States and Canada. In 2026, the club has had over 200 events scheduled.
Baginski said the party was created primarily for women and female-identifying people to have a safe space, though men can attend if they purchase tickets.
The event is a celebration of something crucial for Baginski: female friendship.
“They are core to your well-being and your happiness, so it’s about nurturing those relationships,” she said. “There’s no other agenda but just to have a great time and be your true ridiculous self.”
Ten percent of all ticket proceeds will be donated to Journey of Hope Utah, a nonprofit that supports trauma-informed care and mental health awareness. Tickets for the Salt Lake City event cost $40.
