The Pride Parade is here

The Utah Pride Parade is happening in full for the first time since 2019 (thanks, COVID!), starting at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 5, in downtown Salt Lake City. The route starts at 200 South and 200 West, goes east along 200 South, turns right at 400 East, travels south along 400 East, then another right at 700 South, and continues west to 200 East. The route is never more than two blocks from Washington Square, the location of the Utah Pride Festival. The parade is free to attend.

Ballots are in the mail

Tuesday is the day county clerks across Utah start mailing ballots to voters for the 2022 primary elections. There are Republican primaries for the U.S. Senate seat (currently held by Sen. Mike Lee, who’s running for re-election) and all four congressional districts (with all the incumbents running for another term). One must be registered as a Republican to vote in that party’s primaries, and the deadline to change parties has passed for this go-round. The primary election day is June 28. Go to vote.utah.gov for information.
