Dec. 27

Learn about Kwanzaa

Celebrate Kwanzaa at the Project Success Community Kwanzaa Celebration, held at Second Baptist Church (227 27th St.) in Ogden from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will include drumming, storytelling and crafts. Masks are required.

Dec. 30

See a parade of lights, skiers and snowboarders

Say goodbye to the old and welcome the new at Deer Valley Resort’s 2021 Torchlight Parade (2250 Deer Valley Drive S., Park City). Starting at approximately 6 p.m. (dusk), skiers and snowboarders will come down the Big Stick ski run (behind Snow Park Lodge) covered in and carrying various lights. Complimentary hot chocolate, cider and cookies will be served on the Snow Park Plaza from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Dec. 31

Party at The Gateway on New Year’s Eve

Ring in the New Year at Last Hurrah! 2021, held at The Gateway (400 W. 200 S., Salt Lake City) from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. This free event will feature live music on an outdoor stage from DJ Justin Cornwall and local bands The Rubies and Brother. Draft beer, wine, hot cocktails and hot chocolate will be served in the main plaza. Gateway merchants will also be open late.
