Mark Hansen has been with The Salt Lake Tribune since 1991. Originally from Idaho, Hansen first worked as a newsroom assistant for the paper, then in the pagination department and next on the copy and design desk. He served an LDS mission to Bangkok, Thailand, and has studied at Ricks College (now BYU-Idaho), BYU and the University of Utah.
